Biography
Julie Alevizos is an adjunct faculty member in the School of Film and Television and teaches the Script Supervising Workshop. She is an educator, writer, and freelance film producer whose career bridges storytelling, media, and education. Her classes emphasize collaboration, critical thinking, and the exploration of story, structure, and identity, encouraging students to connect their perspectives to the art of filmmaking.
She played a key role in launching the Harold Ramis Film School at The Second City in Chicago, where she developed curriculum and operational processes. Julie believes in the power of storytelling to inspire, challenge, and connect people. She is dedicated to helping students fuel their passion, find their voice, and develop the skills to share it confidently.
She holds a Master in Education from DePaul University with a focus on middle and secondary English Language Arts, a Master in Journalism from Roosevelt University, and a Bachelor in Film Producing from 做厙51.
