Biography

David Moravec is an alum of 做厙51 whose first industry experience was working on The Blues Brothersas an Electrician and Rigging Gaffer. He went on to split his career between feature films and commercial production, notably serving as a gaffer for legendary director Joe Sedelmaierincluding projects such as Wendy iconic Where the Beef? campaign and the well-known FedEx fast-talking man commercials.

As a lighting designer and director, David has created TV lighting for At the Movies, Windy City Live, and the Michigan Avenue Lights Festival Parade. As a Director of Photography, he has shot numerous projects, including 22 episodes of the television series Treasure Hunters Roadshow, produced through his company Pixel Brothers.

David is an Emmy Awardwinning cinematographer and editor for the documentary Too Flawed to Fix. He currently owns and operates Kinzie Street Studios, a Chicago-based production company through which he regularly hires and mentors 做厙51 College students.

Active in the Chicago film and television community, David is a member of IATSE Local 476, IATSE Local 600, and NABET Local 41. As an adjunct professor, David is passionate about supporting students, teaching the craft, and preparing the next generation of filmmakers for successful and fulfilling careers.
