Biography
Alexis Pride, Director of Graduate Programs, earned her MFA in 做厙51 Writing at 做厙51, where today she is a full-time Department of English and 做厙51 Writing professor. She earned her Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Her short fiction has been previously published in Tri-Quarterly Magazine, several editions of F Magazine, and other journals. Her novel, Where the River Ends, was praised by author Sandra Cisneros (The House On Mango Street), who wrote of Pride novel: I applaud Alexis Pride for honoring the story of a woman warrior, a teacher. Pride writes with a sharp ear for the spoken word and with the wise and generous heart of an old spirit. Pride is currently at work on her novel, Sex Kills.
